Parker  : Listen, do you know why they never come down here?
I mean, this is where the real work is, right?
Brett   : It's the same damn reason we get a half share of their one, our turn
is their turn, that's the way they see it.
Parker  : No- But-
Brett   : Same old shit, man...
Parker  : Well, I think I know why they don't come down here! It's because of
you! You- you don't have no personality.

[shot of the messhall. Everyone is gathered there. Parker and Brett enter]
Parker  : [bends over to Ash]
Ah... This happens to be my seat. Now...
Ash     : Just...
[stands up]
Parker  : Thank you.
[wipes dust off the chair where Ash just sat]
What's happening now, baby?
Dallas  : Well, some of you might have figured that we're not home yet...
We're only half way there.
Ripley  : What-
Dallas  : Mother's ended up the... course of our journey.
Kane    : Why?
Dallas  : She's programmed to do that should certain conditions arive. They
have.
Ripley  : Like what?
Dallas  : Seems she has intercepted a transmission of unknown origin. She got
us up to check it out.
Ripley  : A transmission? Out here?
Dallas  : Yeah.
Lambert : What kind of a transmission?
Dallas  : Acoustical beacon that ehh... repeats at intervals of twelve
seconds.
Kane    : SOS?
Dallas  : I don't know.
Ripley  : Human?
Dallas  : Unknown.
Brett   : So what?
Kane    : We're obligated under certain-
Parker  : I hate to bring this up, but ehh... This is a commercial ship, not a
rescue ship.
Brett   : Right!
Parker  : And it's not in my contract to do this kind of duty... And what
about the money, if you'd wanna give me some money I'd be happy
to... O god...
Dallas  : Parker...
Parker  : Let's get over the bonus situation, we'd never...
Dallas  : Come one...
Ash     : [to Dallas]
Can I say something?
Parker  : Let's talk about the bonus for a while...
Ash     : There is a clause in the contract that specificly states any
systematised transmission indicating a possible intelligent
origin must be investigated.
Parker  : I don't wanna hear...
Brett   : You don't know if it's intelligent...
Parker  : I want homing party. (???)
Dallas  : [raised voice]
Parker, will you just listen to the man!
Ash     : ...the penalty of total forfiture of shares.
Dallas  : You got that?
Parker  : [laughs] Yeah... [laughs]
Dallas  : We're going in...
Parker  : Yeah... We're going in.

[shot of the Nostromo outside] [we hear computer voices speak through the
intercom]
Someone : Lock ship into secondary generator.
Someone : ...with D.A.C.S.
Ash     : Prime starboard. Looking good.
Dallas  : We got the BR's in line...
Ripley  : How's the status on the lifters?
Dallas  : Give me an A-C pressure reading...

Ash     : Forty seconds to the stalk...
Dallas  : Good, and disengage from platform.
Lambert : And twenty seconds. Eightteen. Seventeen. Sixtee-
[shot from outside. We hear Lambert's voice through the intercom]
Mark... Twelve. Eleven. Ten. Nine. Eight. Seven. Six. Five. Four.
Three. Two. One. Mark.
Dallas  : Disengage.

[shot on top of the ship. We see a mechanical claw, releasing a part of the
ship]
[On the bridge]
Ripley  : Umbilicus clear.
Dallas  : Money's safe, let's take her down.
Comp    : [male voice] Eight. Seven.
Kane    : Roll ninety-two degrees, port your.
Ripley  : Prime the port.
[we see screens with the projectory the ship will take.]
Ripley  : Prime betral.
[...]
Lambert : I'm not getting anything...
[...]
Ripley  : Turbulance.
Lock and floating. You can drop us any time now, we'll catch it.
Dallas  : Right, initial dapping is going off, hold on people, there's gonna
be a little bump.

[The ship enters the atmosphere. There's a very loud screeching sound. Parker
