[shot of the messhall. Everyone is gathered there. Parker and Brett enter] Parker : [bends over to Ash] Ah... This happens to be my seat. Now... Ash : Just... [stands up] Parker : Thank you. [wipes dust off the chair where Ash just sat] What's happening now, baby? Dallas : Well, some of you might have figured that we're not home yet... We're only half way there. Ripley : What- Dallas : Mother's ended up the... course of our journey. Kane : Why? Dallas : She's programmed to do that should certain conditions arive. They have. Ripley : Like what? Dallas : Seems she has intercepted a transmission of unknown origin. She got us up to check it out. Ripley : A transmission? Out here? Dallas : Yeah. Lambert : What kind of a transmission? Dallas : Acoustical beacon that ehh... repeats at intervals of twelve seconds. Kane : SOS? Dallas : I don't know. Ripley : Human? Dallas : Unknown. Brett : So what? Kane : We're obligated under certain- Parker : I hate to bring this up, but ehh... This is a commercial ship, not a rescue ship. Brett : Right! Parker : And it's not in my contract to do this kind of duty... And what about the money, if you'd wanna give me some money I'd be happy to... O god... Dallas : Parker... Parker : Let's get over the bonus situation, we'd never... Dallas : Come one... Ash : [to Dallas] Can I say something? Parker : Let's talk about the bonus for a while... [shot of the Nostromo outside] [we hear computer voices speak through the intercom] Someone : Lock ship into secondary generator. Someone : ...with D.A.C.S. Ash : Prime starboard. Looking good. Dallas : We got the BR's in line... Ripley : How's the status on the lifters? Dallas : Give me an A-C pressure reading...
Ash : Forty seconds to the stalk... Dallas : Good, and disengage from platform. Lambert : And twenty seconds. Eightteen. Seventeen. Sixtee- [shot from outside. We hear Lambert's voice through the intercom] Mark... Twelve. Eleven. Ten. Nine. Eight. Seven. Six. Five. Four. Three. Two. One. Mark. Dallas : Disengage.
[shot on top of the ship. We see a mechanical claw, releasing a part of the ship] [On the bridge] Ripley : Umbilicus clear. Dallas : Money's safe, let's take her down. Comp : [male voice] Eight. Seven. Kane : Roll ninety-two degrees, port your. Ripley : Prime the port. [we see screens with the projectory the ship will take.] Ripley : Prime betral. [...] Lambert : I'm not getting anything... [...] Ripley : Turbulance. Lock and floating. You can drop us any time now, we'll catch it. Dallas : Right, initial dapping is going off, hold on people, there's gonna be a little bump.
