Dallas : You're gonna do what? Ash : Finger! Just try and get his finger off. Just a minute- [Ash takes an odd pair of clambs(?) and pulls on the digit of the facehugger] It's clunching on there... [He needs some strength to pull it off. It doesn't work.] Dallas : It's not... It's trying still! (????) Ash : I know!!! Dallas : It's not coming off without tearing his face off, is it? Ash : We'll have to take a look at it's inside. Dallas : Right. Parker : [outside] How come they don't freeze him? [shouts to Dallas and Kane inside] How come you guys don't freeze him?!! [Ash pushes some buttons and a panel slides open. Kane is moved inside to scan.] Ash : Allright, you can take your mask off... [Kane is scanned. We see blurry pictures of his intestents.] Dallas : What it's got down his throat? Ash : I suggest it's feeding him oxygen. Dallas : Paralyses him, puts him in a coma... And keeps him alive, now what the hell is that? Now, we're gonna get it off him, come on. Ash : No... Now let's not be too hasty. We don't know anything about- It... Now we assume it's feeding him oxygen, if we remove it... Could kill him! Dallas : I'm willing to take that change, let's take it off, now... Ash : You take responsiblity? Dallas : Yes, yes, I'll take responsiblity, now get him out of there.
[Kane is back out the scanner on the table] Dallas : Now, how're you gonna do this? Ash : I'll make an incision below the knuckle, there... It's done by a... [Ash holds some cutting device like the one used on the helmet near a paw of the facehugger. The skin is cut, and immediatly a green acid spurts out and eats away through the floor, hissingly.] Ash : Good God! Dallas : That crap's gonna eat through the hull! [Dallas runs outside. Ash stays with Kane.] I think it's gonna eat through the hull! Come one! Parker : What's going on? Dallas : This way!
[everybody follows Dallas downstairs. They open a door, and see that the stuff eat through the ceiling, through some packages lying on the floor and through the floor.] Dallas : Next deck. [They run downstairs once more. They look, but don't find it. Then a small hissing sound is heard.] Parker : There it is! [Dallas walks towards the dripping acid] Parker : Don't get under it! Don't get under it! Ripley : Looks like it's stopping! Parker : Take a look at this, man... Dallas : [turns to Brett] Right, ehh... Gimme ahh... a pen? Or... Give it to me, quick. Come one!!! Come on!!! [Brett hands him his pen] Brett : Don't get any on your arm. [Dallas shoves the pen in the dripping acidic metal.] Dallas : It stopped... Haven't seen anything like it, except ehh... molecular acid. Brett : They must be using it for blood. Parker : It got a wonderful defense mechanism. You don't dare kill it. Ripley : What about Kane? Dallas : Here's your pen, Brett. [Dallas hands Brett his smoking molten pen. Brett looks a bit sad to his pen.] Brett : Well, whatta we do now? Dallas : Leave Kane to Ash, you get back to work.
[Brett and Parker working on the engines] Brett : Ok. Try it. [Parker pulls some levers and pushes some buttons. A screeching sound is heard.] Dammit. I was sure that was it. Parker : Trust it. Brett : Like I've been in this space a month... Parker : We shouldn't have landed in this place in the first place. Brett : We shouldn't have landed on this damn ball, I know that. Parker : Well, the sooner we patch this thing up and get out of here, the sooner we can go home, this place gives me the creeps.
[Ash is busy analysing the creature. We see some screens with a small embryo like creature on them. Ash looks through some kind of microscope. Ripley comes in] Ripley : That's amazing, what is it? Ash : What is this? Ehm... I don't know yet. [Ash turns off the screens when he finds out Ripley stands behind him] Did you want something? Ripley : Yes! I ehh... Have a little talk. How is Kane? Ash : He's holding, no changes. Ripley : And our 'guest'? Ash : Oh. Ripley : Hm? Ash : Well, as I said, I'm still collating actually, but eh... I have confirmed that he has an outer layer of protein polysaccharids- Has a funny habit of shedding his cells, and replacing them with polarised silicon. Which gives him a prelongued resistance to adverse environmental conditions. Is that nothing? Ripley : That's funny, what does it mean? [Ripley bends over and watches through the microscope]
