Parker : This son of a bitch was HUGE! I mean... It's like a man, it's big! Ash : It gained some... Ripley : Come one, Ash, I mean... Science department should be able to help us. What can we do to drive it? Ash : Yes, well, it's adapted remarkably well to our...atmosphere, considering it's nutricial requirements. Anything we don't know about is temperature. Ripley : Ok, what about temperature, what happens if we change it? Ash : Let's try it. I mean, most animals retreat from fire, yes? Dallas : Fire, yeah. Parker, can you rig ehhh... three or four incenerator units? Parker : Give me about twenty minutes and I'll do it... Lambert : Who's going into the vent? Ripley : I do. Dallas : No. You and Ash, take the main airlock. Parker lambert, you cover up that maintenance opening place. Lambert : Right.
[Dallas goes to Mother. He asks her how they can kill the alien. Mother says she can't compute. Dallas asks her if they can survive. Mother says she can't compute.]
[Later. Dallas goes in the duct. He carries the tracker.] Dallas : Ok, I'm at the first junction. Ripley : Dallas, I'm right here. Dallas : Parker? Parker : Yeah... Dallas : Lambert? Lambert : We're in position, I'm just trying to get a reading here. Ripley : The airlock is open. Dallas : Ok, Ripley... Ripley : Ready. [shot of an airlock opening. It is a circle like opening, getting bigger.] Dallas : I'm moving up. Lambert : Allright, I've got a reading on you. [Dallas moves on. We hear the tracker beep constantly.] Dallas : Open the hatch to the third junction. [Dallas breathes heavily] Dallas : Ok, I'm through. Ripley? Ripley : Yes! Dallas : Close all the hatches behind me. I'm moving on. [The hatch behind Dallas closes.] Lambert : Dallas! Hold on a minute! I migh... I think I've got it. Dallas : What... Lambert : Yes, I've got it. Dallas : Where? Lambert : Somewhere around the third junction... Dallas : Ok, I'm moving on. [Dallas walks on. He carries an incinerator.] Lambert : It is around here. Now Dallas, you'll gonna have to be carefull. [Dallas walks on. He comes to a junction downwards. He aims the incinerator down and pulls the trigger. Large flames burst down.] Dallas : Allright. I reached...the third junction and I'm going down. [Dallas goes down. Nothing is there.] [Lambert is checking the tracker she's holding.] Parker : What the hell is the matter with that box? Lambert : Dallas! You'll gonna have to hold your position for a minute. I've lost the signal! Dallas : What?? Are you sure... Lambert : Look, look around. I- I'm sure it's down there. I mean it's gotta be around there somewhere. Dallas : Check it out, Lambert. You might be getting interference. Lambert : [scared] Dallas, are you sure there's no sign of it, I mean, it _is_ there! [Dallas uses the incinerator] Lambert : It's gotta be around there! [Dallas uses the incinerator again the other way] Ripley : Dallas? Dallas : Oh, come one... [talks to himself] Ah, am I- am I clear, Lambert? 'Cause I wanna get the hell outta here. [the beep on Lambert's tracker goes off. There's a dot moving towards Dallas's dot on the little screen.] Lambert : Oh, God.. It's moving right towards you! Dallas : Ahh... Lambert : [scared] Move! Get out of there! Move it towards you! MOVE! [cries] Dallas! Move, Dallas! Get out o... [the beeps on the tracker start beeping almost synchronous] [Dallas goes down one level] Lambert : [cries] No! Not that way! The other way! God! [Dallas turns around and the alien is there and stretches it's hands out to grab Dallas.] Ripley : Dallas! Lambert : No! Parker : Take it easy! Dallas!
[In the mess. Parker holds the incinerator Dallas was carrying. He throws it on the table.] Parker : We found this laying there... No blood. No Dallas. Nothing. [everyone keeps quiet. Parker is heavily irritated.] How come not anybody say nothing? Ripley : [harsh] I'm thinking. Unless somebody has got a better idea, we'll procede with Dallas's plan. Lambert : What? And end up like the others? No, you're out of your mind. Ripley : Have you got a better idea? Lambert : [hysterical] Yes. I say that we abaondon the ship. We get the shuttle and get the hell out of here. We take our chances and just hope that somebody'll pick us up! Ripley : Lambert... The shuttle won't take four.
